Accessibility Statement

SafeShift is built for busy, diverse hourly teams — accessibility is part of that.

Effective date: August 14, 2026 · Last updated: August 14, 2026

Our Commitment

SafeShift is committed to making the manager web portal, the employee portal, the mobile apps, and the clock-in kiosk usable by as many people as possible, including people who rely on assistive technologies. Our target is conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.

What We Do Today

  • Our public website is designed to WCAG 2.1 AA contrast standards, provides a skip-to-content link and landmark structure, keeps controls keyboard-operable with a visible focus indicator, respects reduced-motion preferences, and lets you pause moving content
  • Mobile screens carry accessibility labels and roles for screen readers (VoiceOver, TalkBack)
  • Interactive controls are reachable by keyboard on the web portal, with visible focus states
  • The employee experience is fully bilingual (English/Spanish), including SMS and push notifications
  • Kiosk punch flows use large touch targets and high-contrast states designed for shared tablets
  • Color is never the only carrier of meaning in compliance status displays

Known Limitations

Some data-dense screens (schedule grids, compliance tables, report previews) are still being improved for screen-reader navigation, and some PDF exports are optimized for print rather than assistive technology. We are working through these areas.

Feedback and Accommodation

If you or an employee on your team has difficulty using any part of SafeShift, contact [email protected] with the word "Accessibility" in the subject. We aim to respond within two business days and will work with you on an accommodation — including assisted setup, alternative document formats, or completing a workflow on your behalf.

Change History

  • August 14, 2026 — Recorded the public-website improvements (contrast, skip link and landmarks, keyboard-operable widgets, visible focus, reduced motion, pausable moving content) and refined conformance wording to state design targets rather than absolute claims.
